Cruaghaire Druantia

'Tia'

Breeder : Susan & Stuart Cuthbert

BVA Hip Score :  9 & BVA Elbow Score : 0

She is a gorgeous, top sized, black and tan long coat, a lovely gently sloping shepherd topline and a lovely pigmentation and a strong head like her mother but a gentle expression. She also has a lovely thick, plush coat which she got from her father. Makes her very cuddly and she loves her cuddles !

Tia is our first generation of Cruaghaire. Her name 'Druantia' comes from Pagan mythology. She is known as the "Queen of the Druids". I have to say she is aptly named !

What has been surprising about Tia is her speed and agility. At 26 inches at the withers she is oversized for a bitch but she keeps up with working collies half her size and weight at top gait. It is impressive to watch and she does it all so effortlessly.

Sire : Zampano von der Piste Trophe Dam : Jades Wonder

Tia was sired by the stunning german import Zampano von der piste Trophe who is standing at stud in Scotland. His pictures do not do this boy justice. He is a lovely rich black and red with a stunning head and gentle expression. We fell in love with him the first time we laid eyes on him.

Hip Score : a1 normal

Haemo clear

Tias' dam is our very own Jades Wonder. Jade is quite a formidable girl and most definitely the matriarch of the canine pack. She has a beautiful, strong yet feminine head which is what drew us to her immediately and she passes this onto her progeny as you can see with Tia.

Hip score : 11

Tia loves nothing better than being outside exploring. She is our first puppy bred under the Cruaghaire affix and to say we are very proud of her is an understatement. She has inherited her fathers wonderful pigmentation although she is definitely a bigger version of her mother.

She is very much a mummies girl and has eyes for no other although Auntie Gill is her No 2. Even Daddy doesn't get a look in !

We are hoping to start pushing her forwards into obedience which is fine as long as she is on her own but the minute you add other dogs or kids she's off into her own little world and obedience goes out the window - She just loves to play !

Tia has matured into a lovely young lady and we are so proud of her. Her loyal and loving nature is an asset to our pack.

Her first litter was in 2010 and she proved to be an exceptional mother. Tia's next litter was in 2011 to our very own Alfie and to say that we thrilled with the quality of the litter is an under statement. We are hoping to have a litter from her in 2012 to the stunning Langfaulds Julius.
